Connecting Google Analytics
We recommend connecting your site to Google Analytics (GA) via Google Tag Manager (GTM) to get the most out of your Prospectus Plus Performance Dashboard.
This allows:
- Comprehensive tracking – Get deeper insights into user behaviour.
- Improved reporting – More data means better decision-making.
- Seamless integration – Your analytics dashboard will use GA as its primary data source.
If your site is already connected to GA via GTM, you're all set. No further action is needed. If you’re unsure, check with your team or follow the steps below.

Recommended Setting: Enable Email Redaction in Google Analytics
Prospectus Plus does not send personally identifiable information (PII) such as email addresses to Google Analytics. However, analytics platforms can occasionally capture personal data if it appears within page URLs or query parameters.
To provide an additional safeguard, we recommend enabling Google Analytics 4’s automatic email redaction feature. When enabled, GA4 automatically detects and removes email address patterns from collected event data before it is stored.
How to enable email redaction in GA4
- Log in to your Google Analytics 4 property.
- Click Admin in the bottom-left corner.
- Under the Data Streams section, select your web data stream.
- Click Configure tag settings.
- Select Redact data.
- Enable Email redaction.
Once enabled, GA4 will automatically remove email addresses from URLs and other collected data fields.
Why this is recommended
Even when applications are designed not to transmit personal data to analytics platforms, enabling automatic redaction provides an additional layer of protection and helps ensure compliance with analytics data policies.
We recommend enabling this setting for all Prospectus Plus implementations using Google Analytics.
