Understanding the Back Button in Prospectus Plus
Prospectus Plus automatically adds a back button to the header of individual content pages, but this button only appears when there is a previous page to return to. Its visibility depends on the user’s browser history.
When the Back Button Appears
- Normal Navigation: The back button will be visible if the user navigated to the current page from another page within the prospectus.
When the Back Button Does Not Appear
- Direct Access: If a user accesses a piece of content directly (e.g., via a direct link), the back button will not be visible because there is no previous page to return to within the prospectus.
- Page Refresh: If the user refreshes the page, the back button will not appear, as the browser history does not recognise a previous page distinct from the current one.
These scenarios are common when testing or editing your prospectus, which may explain why you do not always see the back button.
