What are Events in Prospectus Plus?
Events are a new type of content within Prospectus Plus – ideal for showcasing things like open days, taster sessions, webinars, or any other date-specific happenings.
They work much like Pages or Courses, but with one key difference: they include a start and end date. This allows them to be used for calendar-based content while benefiting from the same familiar creation tools you already know.
✏️ How do I create an Event?
Creating an event is easy:
- Hover over the Content dropdown in the top menu.
- Click Events and Add New
- Use the block editor (just like you would with a Page or Course) to build your event content.
- Scroll down to specify the Start Date and End Date of your event.
- Remember to tag your event with the appropriate categories (ie. Campus, Subject Area etc.)
🤖 How and where are Events displayed?
Just like Courses and Pages, personalised Events are displayed dynamically on the Prospectus Overview screen. For example, you can configure your events row so that:
- If a user has expressed interest in a particular subject area, they’ll see events relevant to that subject.
- If they’ve selected a level of study, such as undergraduate, they’ll see events targeted at that level.
Many other configurations are possible!
So if your prospectus is configured to show Events, they’ll be matched to users automatically based on their preferences and responses.
🔮 What’s next for Events?
This is just the first phase of the Events feature. In future updates, you can expect powerful enhancements like:
- Overview takeovers – where your entire prospectus can shift into “event mode” during a live open day.
- More flexible options for managing and displaying events in your content.
Stay tuned – Events will only become more powerful and dynamic from here.
