Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) with a TOTP Provider
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) from an authentication app like Google Authenticator or 1Password. Follow the steps below to enable 2FA for your account.
1️⃣ Go to your account settings
Navigate to your account page.
Look for the Authenticator Code field (found under the email field).
2️⃣ Set up your TOTP provider
Your authentication app (e.g. Google Authenticator, 1Password) will prompt you to:
a) Scan a QR code, or
b) Enter a setup key manually
Copy the code from the Authenticator Code field in Prospectus Plus and paste it into your app.
3️⃣ Confirm and save
Once setup is complete, tick the confirmation checkbox.
Click Save Profile to store your 2FA settings.
4️⃣ Verify your setup
You should now see that your TOTP authentication is linked successfully.
After enabling 2FA, you’ll need to enter a one-time code from your authentication app every time you log in. Simply open your app, find the code for Prospectus Plus, and enter it in the login screen.
