Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) with a TOTP Provider

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) from an authentication app like Google Authenticator or 1Password. Follow the steps below to enable 2FA for your account.

📌 How do I set up 2FA?

1️⃣ Go to your account settings

• Navigate to your account page.
• Look for the Authenticator Code field (found under the email field).

2️⃣ Set up your TOTP provider

• Your authentication app (e.g. Google Authenticator, 1Password) will prompt you to:

a) Scan a QR code, or

b) Enter a setup key manually

• Copy the code from the Authenticator Code field in Prospectus Plus and paste it into your app.

3️⃣ Confirm and save

• Once setup is complete, tick the confirmation checkbox.
• Click Save Profile to store your 2FA settings.

4️⃣ Verify your setup

• You should now see that your TOTP authentication is linked successfully.

🔓 How do I log in with 2FA?

After enabling 2FA, you’ll need to enter a one-time code from your authentication app every time you log in. Simply open your app, find the code for Prospectus Plus, and enter it in the login screen.
