How to Provide Us With Your SSL Certificate

We want to make sure your prospectus is secure and trusted by your visitors. If you’re unable to allow our infrastructure to provision an SSL for you, then you can provide us with a custom SSL certificate. All we ask is that you share the certificate files with us, and we’ll handle the setup on your behalf.

What You’ll Need to Send Us

When you request an SSL certificate from your certificate provider (also known as a Certificate Authority), you’ll usually receive a set of files. Please send us the following:

  • Certificate file (sometimes called yourdomain.crt or certificate.pem)
  • Private key file (this proves ownership of the certificate)
  • Intermediate/chain certificate (if your provider gave you one — often named ca-bundle.crt or similar)

💡 Tip: If you’re unsure which files are which, just send everything your certificate provider gave you. We’ll take care of the sorting.

How to Send the Files

  • Please attach the files securely to your support ticket.
  • If you’d prefer not to send them via email, let us know and provide them via a secure upload link.

What We’ll Do Next

Once we receive your certificate files:

  1. We’ll upload them into Prospectus Plus.
  2. We’ll attach the certificate to your domain.
  3. We’ll confirm everything is working and let you know once your website is secure.

A Note on Security

Your SSL certificate and private key are sensitive. Please don’t share them publicly or in unsecured channels. Rest assured, we’ll treat them with the highest level of care.
